Creating a selection layer
A selection layer consists of a subset of features from another map layer. They can be useful for creating maps that focus on one particular area or region.
To create a selection layer:
- In the Map Layers window, select the map layer whose features you wish to select
- Using the Select tool, select the map features you wish to include in the selection layer
- Choose Layer > New Layer from Selection
