Exporting data as CSV

Comma-separated-variables (CSV) is a popular file format that can be read by spreadsheet programs.

To export all of a layer's variables as a CSV file:

  1. Choose File > Export Data > Export CSV and choose the layer you would like to export
  2. Type a file name and choose a destination folder in the dialog that appears
  3. Click Export

To export selected variables as a CSV file:

  1. Ensure the data pane is visible by clicking Show Data on the left side of the toolbar
  2. Hold the Command key and click the variables you would like to export
  3. Drag the variables to the desired destination in the Finder
